GREEN MARCO AND UAS BOXERS HAVE FULL SCHEDULE: RADAMÉS HERNÁNDEZ

Mazatlán, Sin.- “We have intense activity with our UAS student trainees in the coming days and weeks; furthermore, training has not stopped for these events.” UAS boxing coach Radamés Hernández told us via phone.

Starting with Olympic medalist Marco Verde, who will seek his sixth victory against zero losses when he faces Guillermo Hernández on Saturday, September 19th in San Diego, California; the card is headlined by fellow Mexican pugilist “Pitbull” Cruz. The fight for the UAS gastronomy graduate is scheduled for eight rounds.

“We also have activity for four of our other trainees: Esmeralda Patiño, Michel Acosta, Valentín Padilla, and Santiago Padilla. They will be competing and gaining experience in the international tournament “Guerra en la Frontera” in Mexicali, Baja California,” declared Radamés Hernández, who has nearly 30 years as a UAS boxing instructor in Mazatlán.

Finally, Hugo Valentín Padilla, from the Faculty of Law Mazatlán, will seek his spot in the Pan American Games along with culichi student Pedro Guerrero from FEFyDE, at the 2026 Olympic Festival in Puebla, Puebla from September 22nd to 24th. At an event like this, which is official and sanctioned by the Federation, Marco Verde qualified for the national team, and the rest is good history.
