Culiacán, Sin. - The sixth edition of the teacher update course of the UAS Directorate General of Sports was inaugurated this Thursday with the presence of university authorities in the auditorium of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports UAS.

Nearly 200 coaches will receive these teacher update courses in person and virtually across the 4 different regional units throughout the state of Sinaloa, covering general topics in sports science.

The presidium was led by Dr. Wenseslao Plata Rocha, Vice-Rector of the Central Regional Unit, representing the rector Dr. Jesús Madueña Molina. Ricardo Chávez, Director of Personnel. As well as Carlos Humberto Tizoc, Director of FEFYDE, and José Carlos Aceves, Director of Social Communication.

It was Carlos Humberto Tizoc who offered words of welcome. As well as José Carlos Aceves, who also addressed the audience with an introductory message.

This teacher update course has as its main organizers Itzel Manjarrez, deputy director of UAS sports, and Jesús Corvera, academic secretary of the UAS Sports Directorate, and will feature the following topics and speakers: Physical evaluations with Dr. Baldomero Llamas. Sport, gender, inequality, presented by Dr. Luis Guerrero. Anthropometry in sports, with Master Jorge Luis Vargas. Sports performance evaluations with Dr. Janeth Miranda, from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. As well as communication in technical direction by Licenciado Miguel Ángel Duran, from the National Center for High Performance. These will be some of the topics covered.
