Chepe Zazueta Culiacán, Sin.- Melanie Jiménez, Edna Jiménez, and Daniela Rojas, members of the UAS Eagles wrestling team, traveled to Lima, Peru, to participate in the U23 Pan American Championship starting this weekend. Mervyn Leyva, head of the wrestling program at UAS, reported this information and added that this event is key on the road to the Pan American Games, which will be held in the same location in Lima, Peru in 2027. The three aforementioned gladiators, just a few weeks ago, represented UAS in the second edition of the ANUIES National Games in Mexico City, where they each won gold medals.
