Ximena Reyes Hampl Shines with Double Gold at the 2026 CONADE Parapan American Games
Parathlete Ximena Reyes Hampl from Sinaloa had a standout start at the 2026 CONADE Parapan American Games, held in Guadalajara, Jalisco, by winning two gold medals on her first day of competition in para-swimming.
Reyes Hampl triumphed in the Multi-Class S5 category, achieving first place in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:36.84, and in the 50-meter backstroke, where she recorded 58.38 seconds, distinguishing herself with her technique, pace control, and adaptation to the competitive environment.
With this result, the swimmer contributed two of the six gold medals earned by the Sinaloa delegation, which also accumulated two bronze medals by the end of the day. Her performance reflects the high level of preparation and discipline of Sinaloan parathletes in this national competition.
