The Central American and Caribbean Games have returned to the scene, reactivating one of the longest-standing sporting traditions on the planet. Cuba remains the country with the most medals in history, surpassing 8,000 total medals and over 3,800 gold, while Mexico follows closely with more than 7,000 medals and around 2,700 golds, figures that reflect their consistency as a regional power. Mexico, in addition to being a founder, has participated in all editions and boasts multiple overall titles. In recent times, countries like Colombia and Venezuela have raised the level, making the fight for supremacy more intense.
