Raúl Jiménez had a special return with the Wolverhampton Wanderers, three years after leaving the English club to join Fulham. The Mexican forward played in a match with the Wolves again in the first round of the EFL Cup, where his team faced Port Vale at Molineux Stadium. Jiménez started the match on the bench but got the chance to come on in the 71st minute, replacing Mateus Mané.

The attacker once again wore the number 9 jersey, the number he used during his first stint with the club and with which he became one of the fans' most beloved players.
