Who Were the Pitching and Batting Champions in JAPAC Baseball 2026
The JAPAC baseball diamond in its First Force category already has its most dominant protagonists of the 2026 season. Between fiery arms and explosive bats, the individual leaders set the pace for the championship, leaving numbers that reflect consistency, power, and authority in every game.
In the pitching department, the name Jesús “Chuchuy” Corrales steals the spotlight by being crowned champion in wins with a record of 7 victories and 6 losses, in addition to commanding respect from the mound by also leading strikeouts with an impressive total of 103 K's, consolidating himself as the most dominant arm in the circuit. Alongside him, Reydar Yáñez had a practically untouchable season by taking the ERA title with a microscopic 0.52 ERA, while Marco Antonio Camarena secured the closers by leading saves with 3 rescues.
On the other side of the game, hitting also had figures that ignited the offense. César Toribio Espinoza became the most complete hitter in the tournament by winning the batting championship with an outstanding average of .452, in addition to leading the runs batted in department with 19 RBI, being a key piece in every offensive opportunity. Power had a name and surname in Wilfredo Castaños, who took home the home run crown with 6 homers, demonstrating his ability to change the course of games with a single swing.
Finally, speed also left its mark on the basepaths with Esteban Gallardo, who mastered the art of base stealing by finishing as the leader with 16 steals, adding dynamism and constant pressure to opposing defenses.
Thus, the JAPAC 2026 baseball league closes its individual chapter with figures who not only dominated their departments but also elevated the competitive level of a league that continues to establish itself as a hotbed of talent and spectacle on the diamond.
