MAZATLÁN DOMINATES STATE PARALYMPICS NATIONAL CONADE 2026 WITH 91 GOLD MEDALS
CULIACÁN, Sinaloa._ With an outstanding performance from its athletes, the Mazatlán delegation was crowned champion of the State phase of the Paralimpiada Nacional CONADE 2026, in the Parathletics discipline, after concluding its participation with a total of 143 medals: 91 gold, 41 silver, and 11 bronze.
The event, held at the athletics track of the High Performance Center of the Sinaloense Institute of Sport (ISDE), brought together the best exponents of Sinaloan sports in Culiacán, who demonstrated talent, discipline, and effort in the different track and field events, corresponding to the Minor Youth, Major Youth, and Superior Youth categories.
Mazatlán set the pace from the early competitions and finished at the top of the medal standings by municipality, surpassing Ahome, which took second place with 62 gold medals, 21 silver, and 7 bronze, for a total of 90 medals. Third place went to the host delegation, Culiacán, with 51 golds, 20 silvers, and 15 bronzes, totaling 86 medals. The capital municipality also led in the bronze medal category.
