Frayles de Guasave Goes All In: Renews Its Commitment and Aims for the Spotlight in CIBAPAC 2026

Frayles Guasave declares itself ready to face the 2026 season of the Pacific Basketball Circuit (CIBAPAC) with a renewed project that blends experienced talent and youth. The Sinaloan squad will begin its journey this August 28th at home, in the Luis Estrada Medina Gymnasium, where they will seek to make their mark from their first commitment against Soles de Los Mochis.

Under the direction of American coach Leroy Davis, the team has a clear goal: to fight for the championship. Within the roster, names with professional experience stand out, such as Frank Acosta, Dominique Coursey, Christian López, and Fernando Benítez, in addition to the leadership of captain Enrique Valenzuela, who will be fundamental to the group's dynamics.

The squad is comprised of 14 players, including foreign reinforcements Kenedy Jones and Tyshon Pickett, who are expected to be key pieces in the offense. Alongside them, young players like Sergio López, Diego Rivera, Daniel Beltrán, David García, César Retamoza, Melchor Véliz, and Gilberto Heredia represent the foundation of local development that the organization promotes.

In addition to assembling the team, Guasave also presented its new image with uniforms in white, yellow, and brown colors, reaffirming its identity. With the precedent of the national title won in 2024, the club arrives with high expectations and the intention to consolidate itself as one of the main contenders in the competition.
