Sinaloa once again placed itself on the international sports map thanks to the outstanding performance of Dante Urquiza, who excelled at the 2026 World Junior Powerlifting Championship, held in Sun City, South Africa. The young athlete achieved a memorable participation by winning three medals and positioning himself among the best on the planet in his category.

Within the up to 93-kilogram division, Urquiza showed his strength by taking the gold medal in the squat after lifting 285 kilograms. To this, he added a silver in the deadlift with 300 kilograms and a bronze in the overall total, achieving a sum of 745 kilograms that reflects his high competitive level.

The result is a consequence of a solid process. The Sinaloan had already shown signs of his quality on the national stage, where he achieved important titles and outstanding records that propelled him onto the world scene. His evolution has been constant and today translates into top-level results.
