Zapopan, Jalisco, will host the 2026 Mexico Diving Cup from July 16-19 at the Metropolitan Aquatic Center. The event, backed by World Aquatics, will bring together competitors from nine countries: Germany, Australia, Canada, China, the United States, Italy, Japan, Colombia, and Mexico. The competition will award points for the world rankings and will be one of the most important international events on the calendar leading up to the main commitments of the Olympic cycle. Additionally, public access will be completely free.

The Mexican team will consist of 16 divers, including Olympic medalists Osmar Olvera, Juan Manuel Celaya, and Gabriela Agúndez, as well as talents such as Alejandra Estudillo, Aranza Vázquez, Randal Willars, Kevin Berlín, Mía Cueva, Lía Cueva, María Fernanda García, José Antonio Mariscal, David Vázquez, Regina Alférez, Itzamary González, Suri Cueva, and Zing Xu. For the national representatives, the Mexico Cup will be their final preparation competition before competing in the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, so they will seek to leverage their home advantage to measure themselves against some of the world's best.

The National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE) highlighted that this event solidifies Mexico as an international benchmark in organizing aquatic sports events and strengthens the development of national divers by providing them with a high-level competitive stage. With the presence of world powerhouses and accomplished athletes, the Mexico Cup promises to deliver a top-tier spectacle and contribute to the growth of this sport in the country.
