César Ramos Palazuelos Trades Japan for 'Talacha' Soccer
Sinaloan referee César Arturo Ramos Palazuelos will be in charge of officiating this Saturday's "Clásico de la Talacha" (Trench Warfare Classic), a match between Chivas Impulsora and América Buenavista to be played at the Agustín "Coruco" Díaz stadium in Morelos. The duel, known as "La Gran Revancha" (The Great Revenge), is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 PM Sinaloa time and has generated excitement due to the presence of the referee with experience in three World Cups.
The participation of Ramos Palazuelos represents a return to his roots in amateur soccer, following his recent involvement in Japan's J1 League, where he officiated again after three years. The match will feature an additional attraction: a prize pool of one million pesos for the winning team, as well as bringing together players with professional pasts who now participate in so-called neighborhood soccer.
Among the players set to be part of the spectacle is Roberto Nurse, a former Dorados de Sinaloa player, who will defend the Chivas Impulsora jersey. The presence of the Culiacán-born referee has also drawn attention due to his recent international participation and his career in Mexican soccer, in addition to his appearances in amateur matches both in Mexico and the United States.
