ARMANDO GONZÁLEZ TO BE SEEN IN MEXICO WITH OLYMPIACOS; HIS DEBUT POINTS TO AUGUST 30

Armando “Hormiga” González now has an option for Mexican fans to follow him in his new chapter with Greece’s Olympiacos. The Hellenic club’s matches will be available to watch in Mexico via Claro Sports, through its digital platforms, including its official YouTube channel. This means fans of the Mexican forward will have the chance to see his performances, both home and away, in the Greek Super League.

The Mexican attacker was officially presented as Olympiacos’ new player after his departure from Chivas. However, he was unable to participate in the team’s first match of the season, where his new club defeated Atromitos 1-0 on August 22. González was present at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium but did not play, so his debut in the red-and-white jersey is still pending.

The first opportunity for “Hormiga” to debut in European football is shaping up to be Sunday, August 30, when Olympiacos visits Asteras Tripoli on the second matchday of the Greek Super League. The game is scheduled for 12:00 PM Central Mexico time, according to available information, and could mark the Mexican attacker’s first official minutes under coach José Luis Mendilibar.
