RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil. Gymnast Aarón Ibarra from Sinaloa once again demonstrated his international quality by winning a gold and a bronze medal during his participation in the Rio 2026 Pan American Junior Artistic Gymnastics Championships, an event that brings together the main emerging talents of the discipline in the continent.

The student of the UAS Faculty of Economics, Aarón Ibarra, was proclaimed Pan American champion in the parallel bars event by registering a score of 12.933 points, surpassing Americans Hunter Simpson, who obtained 12.833 points, and Ori Reilly, who finished with 12.733.

The gymnast from Sinaloa added a second medal by reaching the podium in the rings final, where he secured the bronze medal with a score of 12.000 points. Canada's Thomas Tittley took the gold with 12.266 units, while American Maksim Kan obtained the silver with 12.033.

Aarón Ibarra's outstanding performance began in the qualifying phase, where he advanced to three individual finals. In the pommel horse event, he finished in fifth place, in addition to securing his spot in the finals for rings and parallel bars. His overall performance allowed him to place sixth in the All Around standings, which evaluates the general performance of gymnasts across all apparatus.
