RANDY AROZARENA, THE ONLY MEXICAN IN THE 2026 MLB ALL-STAR GAME
Randy Arozarena is the only Mexican selected for the 96th edition of Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, to be held on July 14th at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
For the Seattle Mariners outfielder, this is his third selection to the mid-season classic in his 9-year MLB career. The first was in 2023, and 2025 was the second. Incidentally, it was a time of fond memories for Mexican baseball, as last year, four natives were selected in addition to Arozarena: Andrés Muñoz, Jonathan Aranda, Isaac Paredes, Alejandro Kirk, and Randy Arozarena; a record for Aztec baseball.
With this new selection, the Cuban-Mexican reaches the historic Beto Avila with 3 All-Star appearances among Mexicans. He surpasses Vinicio Castilla and Jorge Orta, who had two appearances.
Fernando Valenzuela remains the number one with 6 All-Star Games, and Adrián González follows with 5.
