Chepe Zazueta Culiacán, Sin.- Following the success in the municipal first division basketball tournament won by Águilas UAS, Lupita Gurrola, president of the circuit in coordination with the state ADEMEBA, led by César Ochoa, are preparing to organize the state women's first division basketball championship.

“We are going to wait for the women's CIBAPAC to conclude; that tournament lasts a couple of months, and then we will proceed with the aforementioned state tournament,” Lupita Gurrola, who has become the main promoter of women's basketball in Culiacán, declared to TROPHEO.COM.

At least four teams have shown interest in participating in the state championship: Los Mochis, Guasave, Mazatlán, and Culiacán. The host city will be decided in the coming weeks.

“The idea is also to assemble a state select team that can represent us in the ADEMABA national championship, with the date and location yet to be determined.”
