Algodoneros de Guasave and Águilas de Mexicali Exchange Players to Strengthen Rosters

By Pavhel Rochin

The Algodoneros de Guasave and the Águilas de Mexicali have completed a transaction between organizations ahead of the Mexican Pacific League season. Guasave has added pitcher Isidro Márquez Mendívil Jr., while Mexicali has received infielder Roberto Ramos in return, in a deal aimed at strengthening different areas of both teams.

Márquez, who is a pitcher, is now part of the Algodoneros after leaving Mexicali. This move represents a bet by the Sinaloa-based team to add depth to their pitching staff, while the Águilas have acquired Ramos, an infielder with professional baseball experience and the ability to contribute offensively.

With this exchange, both organizations have adjusted their rosters with their respective objectives in the LMP in mind. The transaction has been officially registered by the league, with Isidro Márquez Mendívil heading to Guasave and Roberto Ramos joining Mexicali, thus marking a new chapter for both players in the Mexican winter league.
