By Pavhel Rochin

Los Algodoneros de Guasave kicked off their preparation for the 2026-27 Mexican Pacific League season this Monday, September 7th, with the start of training at Kuroda Park. The blue and white squad began their work at 08:00 hours under the direction of manager Óscar Robles, who will lead the Sinaloan nine's preparation from day one.

Joining the strategist were a significant portion of the coaching staff, including Darryl Brinkley, David Rosario, Carlos Elizalde, Domingo Castro, Nathanael Reyes, Ignacio Rodríguez, and Ángel Reséndez, as well as trainers Jherson Esqueda and Juan Ramón Acuña. The club has called up a total of 65 players to vie for a spot on the final roster, with players gradually joining the preseason activities.

The first test for Algodoneros will come on September 17th, when they face off against the Cañeros de Los Mochis in the so-called Magical Classic of the Pacific, a game scheduled for 20:30 hours in El Fuerte. This gives Guasave just over a week of training to begin defining the team that will compete in the upcoming Mexican Pacific League season.
