JOSÉ ALBERTO BELTRÁN, IMDEC DIRECTOR, OPENS QUILÁ 2026 WOMEN'S SOFTBALL LEAGUE
Culiacán, Sinaloa. With the participation of six teams from different communities in the district, the IMDEC 2026 Women's Softball League in Quilá, Novatas category, was inaugurated.
The Culiacán City Council, through the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture (IMDEC), is promoting this competition with the aim of encouraging sports practice, camaraderie, and women's participation in softball.
The general director of IMDEC, José Alberto Beltrán Figueroa, led the opening ceremony and, in his message, invited the players to enjoy this edition in an atmosphere of healthy coexistence, sportsmanship, and family.
Previously, Fausto Jovanny Beltrán, director of Liaison with Districts, offered the welcome remarks and thanked IMDEC for the support and facilities provided for the organization of this league.
During the protocolary act, councilwoman Claudia Vega administered the oath to the members of the participating teams, who pledged to compete with respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
As part of the opening ceremony, Yuliana Marisol Ramírez, district representative of Quilá, threw the first pitch. In this protocolary action, Fausto Jovanny Beltrán served as catcher, Patricia Sánchez, district representative of San Lorenzo, as batter, and José Alberto Beltrán Figueroa, as umpire.
With the start of this league, the six teams began their participation in search of the championship, in a competition that seeks to strengthen women's sports and the bond between the communities of the Quilá district.
