Dorados Salvages Draw Against Coyotes at El Encanto

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Dorados de Sinaloa secured another draw in the Apertura 2026 of the Liga de Expansión MX, tying 2-2 against Coyotes de Tlaxcala in their second home game in Sinaloa. The team coached by Luis Alberto Orozco had to come back from a two-goal deficit to salvage a point in front of over 2,500 fans gathered at Estadio El Encanto.

Coyotes took the lead in the 16th minute when Ismael Govea capitalized on a rebound inside the box to make it 0-1. Before halftime, Daniel “Fideo” Álvarez extended the lead with a precise free-kick that found the top corner. Dorados reacted in the second half, and in the 63rd minute, Francisco Contreras assisted Jhan Rengifo, who pulled one back for El Gran Pez; later, in the 89th minute, Fernando González sent in a cross that Óscar Coronel headed home to set the final score at 2-2.

With this result, Dorados has accumulated 5 points in the Apertura 2026, with one win and two draws, remaining undefeated after three matches played. The Sinaloan team will look to return to winning ways in their next commitment when they visit Venados de Yucatán next Thursday, August 20, in Mérida.
