Dorados de Sinaloa Rebounds with a Victory and Thrashes Tepatitlán
Dorados de Sinaloa smiled again in the Apertura 2026 of the Liga de Expansión MX by winning 4-2 away against Tepatitlán FC, in a match corresponding to Matchday 7. El Gran Pez broke a streak of two consecutive games without a win, after falling to Atlético Morelia and previously drawing against Tlaxcala. With this result, the Sinaloa team reached 8 points in the tournament and regained confidence in their fight to improve their position in the standings.
The Sinaloa offense responded from the first minutes, with Leonardo Vargas opening the scoring in the 9th minute, Brandon Ordorica extending the lead in the 32nd, and Diego Guajardo scoring the third before halftime. In the final stretch, Óscar “Choco” Coronel appeared in the 89th minute to seal the match and complete the rout. Dorados' collective performance allowed them to achieve their second victory of the tournament, improving their record to two wins, two draws, and two losses.
The result also marked a standout performance for Fernando González, who was one of the most important players in the black and gold attack and finished as the MVP of the match according to available statistical ratings.
