Chepe Zazueta Culiacán, Sin.- We know that the Pacific Basketball Circuit (CIBAPAC) has established itself as a professional league, that it is national, and that it supports Mexican basketball. But how much do we know about its president, who has consolidated this professional circuit where, we insist, opportunities are provided to Mexican players. Engineer César Manuel Ojeda Anaya is not only the current president of CIBAPAC Nacional but also its founder 11 years ago. He was born in Guasave, Sinaloa, and graduated from the Instituto de Sonora (ITSON) with a degree in industrial engineering. César Ojeda was also a notable player: He participated in more than 15 national championships, from the children's to the university level; he even played professionally in CIBACOPA. “I grew up in a basketball environment. My dad organized local tournaments in Guasave and also played. That's where my love for the game was born,” he declared to Tropheo.com. Finally, the head of CIBAPAC Nacional shared the objectives of the circuit he has presided over for more than a decade: “Our goal is to be a league where national talent can develop. Where young people can have the opportunity to obtain a university scholarship through sports. And where it is demonstrated that there is quality in Mexican players, who only need follow-up and the opportunity to prove themselves.”
